Crossing that Bridge

In my own little world, I drift with the tide, not taking great risks. Could I ever commit to traveling over to the other side? I’ll be crossing that bridge when I come to it. Big dreams, my soul’s fire, have become rather small. But what if my long-ago dreams were re-lit? In going for them, could I sacrifice all? I’ll be crossing that bridge when I come to it. My future’s uncertain; I only can know I have to keep moving somehow; I can’t quit. When the water of life is ceasing to flow. . . I’ll be crossing that bridge when I come to it.

Very good poem Andrea. The thoughts of many summed up perfectly. I pray for continued strength for you. And I pray to St. Joseph for your Hubby. Such a powerful and beautiful prayer.

Cross every bridge you come to Petal and mean it, and never look back. As Mummay used to say, "He who hesitates is lost". Which reminds me, I must write more lol. Beautifully written, good luck in the contest. Take care, Richard
