Damselfly

Damselfly
When was the last time you believed in yourself?
When the wind captures and divides the lines of your story
You proceed to fly against the force.

Do you ever dream of fighting a losing battle?
Did you ever dream finding yourself beneath it all?

"No..."

Damselfly
How many times have you been mistaken for your brother?
Hide your wings from the viceroy of these lands.
He'll find you even in the shifting spaces within dreams.

Teach me how to hold my ways firmly behind what I'm standing for.
How do you keep your mind from despising what your eyes can see?
Will this be the last time we will pause to ponder on the loss?

Damselfly
When was the last time you said you needed me?
I failed you again and turned my back on your voice seeking aid.

When was the last time you saw me crying?
When was the last time I saw you smiling?
Will I ever see you smile again?
