Burying the Hatchet

Of all the things I do resent,
Time takes most precedence;
For He's a Thief- the giver of Grief,
And a Lover of the Present...

Today he plots to plague my thoughts,
And wrought His plans for Pain!
Ideals are fraught, my Mind hath caught-
His buried hatchet in my Brain

    Very witty figurative piece here. With two wonderful veiled figures of speech. 1)"A hatchet job" on your brain. and the offended party has 2) "buried the hatchet".

    Very astute of you, Jon, but I would expect no less from you. You nailed the meaning of the whole piece. Thanks for the read and review :)
