Ants

A scouting ant atop towering plant
Espies some unattended pies
Then ants seize crumbs that we'd think scant
Booty to them of incredible size
And as the pies are laid to waste
The ants head home with all due haste

I'm waiting for you to tell me where that one poem is. When I typed in the title and your name I could not find it.

This is good, Sometimes we don't think too much about ants. They are very hard working creature. They work only for their food. Thanks for sharing.... Lucilla

One of Mother Nature's/God's most fascinating creatures - I have been known to sit for hours and watch them at their work! Loved it, Jon, you conjured up a great picture of activity :)

Hi, Jon. Fun and clever write from you. May I make a suggestion? What about, "And soon the pie was laid to waste"? I also think the third line is a little lumpy; I would consider reworking it a bit. But I enjoyed this piece; good job and kudos! :)

Your suggestions are always welcome here. I re-read my poem and saw too that it needed revision. Thanks.
