Search For Love

I had wandered the world
But I couldn't find,
The vision of Love
In the back of my mind.
In sadness I walked
Nothing I felt inside,
And many the tears
My lonely heart cried.

I wandered by the waters here
I wandered through the valleys there,
My feet covered many miles
They did take me everywhere.
And still in my journey
I could not find peace,
For you were not there
And my sadness would not cease.

And then one day to my surprise
I saw a pair of Love filled eyes,
And my spirits they did soar
Throughout Heavens wondrous skies.
And heart that had known sorrow
And great pain from day to day,
It did cry golden tears of Love
As great sadness winged away.

And there you were before me
What a vision, what a sight,
I knew my heart was captured
I did put up no kind of fight.
I was where I wished to be
Of that there was no doubt,
And this crazy thing called Love
I knew what it was all about.

And gladsome was this heart of mine
Upon that most special day,
The sun's fire shining brightly
Its golden light had come my way.
And I swore Love eternal
My heart with Love was free,
And I swore my Love to you
Throughout all eternity.

Hi Stacey, thanks for dropping by and the comment. Sometimes one has to travel far to find what the heart seeks. Sometimes it can be right next door, you just never know. What you've written is oh so true, "True Love Always Wins Out!" Glad you liked this piece. Have a nice day. Catch you later. Your Friend....MIKE.
