Forgotten

Forgotten heart of mine.
Forgotten souls in time.
Teetering along the fence of time.
As prisms sparkles thru the night.
The moon glistens on the weaves.
Volcanoes erupting thru the night.
I smell the taste of honey on my lips.
Passions controlled by what was once felt.
She has become the desire within his veins.
The forgotten dreams of his heart drip blood.
As they were dropped along the way.
The heartbeat of their love was left out in the rain.

What make's someone forget their heart. And cause their lover to depart. The lonely know only too well. What heaven's like, yet still live in hell. Beautiful poem Debbie. Peace. :)

I have been away for a while myself. Sometimes, I suffer a bit of stagnation. Anyway, you have a style where you change point of views in the middle of your poetry. This always keeps me on guard and makes me have to re-read your work several times to be sure I know what is happening to whom. Then I also go back to the title. The nature of forgetting is difficult to fathom. I think you are right that it is filed away in some form. I also like the fitting praise you give yourself in this.
