A lost soul finds meaning,
In the vast meaningless sea.
The beauty in every single moment,
As we love them and damn them
For their transient nature all at once.
Fleeing from us, paying no mind that we
Have fallen in love with them.
Sad eyes meet tortured youth
Across a disenfranchised dance-floor,
As another moment slips away.
Inebriated by the liberation of the abyss,
We explore our inexperienced bodies
While our demons waltz in the Moonlight.
Every kiss holding a thousand promises we can’t keep.
Relinquishing our bodies to pleasure
As our souls intertwine in embrace.
Yet the moment marched forward,
Navigating its trenches,
Evading our suppressive fire,
Claiming its certain victory,
For it surrenders to no man.
And as frozen as we seemed,
As omnipotent as we felt,
Our passion melted away.
The moment fleeing once again,
With no conscience as to what it had given
And what it had stolen away from us.
