The Rape Of Lucretia

She lay quietly musing
onStreams of suitors.
  Chaste damsel she was,
Till men of the under-
World broke-in in
Numbers,carried her to
Another world,under
theStars,de-flowered her,
Men with steeled hearts,
Her pleas went to the
Wind.
Blood gushed out-but in
Turns this saintly creature
Was ravaged.
   After a time,she bore
Seeds of vagabonds,
Terrors-a bane of the
Society,whose deeds,the
Night Covers.
Peace and love are
Strangers in their midst.
  Yet their fathers say
They have done no wrong
Only showing her a better
Path.
  Weep for
Lucretia,who a Brighter
Future bargained.
Her woes increase as time
Passes by.
   For the rape of Lucretia
Is the rape of Africa.
