Oblivion

We have arrived, at the edge of life
For our wise leaders, can at will
Make us all into oblivion
We are musical notes
That shall sound no more
The universe will remain
In a void
Dark and silent
Brooding
We have stolen its entertainment
The light of life
The laughter and smiles that might have been
Oh our whims
To destroy the little we have
Oh how the universe is now dark
For a billion years
Until god tries yet once more

I couldn't help but associate the underlying disappointment with social/political/religious issues holding our world hostage. I love this, Arthur. thank you for sharing.
