The Tree

The Tree

A tree stands tall,
in the forest is blended
I sit and admire it's strength,
simply splendid
For each of us has had time to take heed
Time to be fruitful,
give, and time to need

The wind picks up
I hear it call in a distance
It's the path I once chose,
the one with the most resistance
Oh woe, to my life of trouble and despair indeed...
as the wind redundantly shakes the branch with one last plead

Storms come and the rain soaks into the ground
The lightning, the memories
flash all around
Like a breath, in an instant
the calm sets the atmosphere

Don't look at the storm, what was
look at what has appeared

Some of the branches are left weakly unattached
It's the part to let go,
the part of the past
The sunlight now shines on the tree,
it drinks the rain
Ready to grow, flourish and blossom;
remembering no pain

Interesting combination of end rhyme, rhythm and a little internal rhyme too. Cool poem and good message.

† Not To Seem Cold But To Be Honest I Wouldn't Let You Hold Me Too Close, Sweet Precious Lucinda ˜ We Crossed That Bridge A Bit Back ? At This Point Then It Would Seem Amid My Mind As If Hulk Hogan Were Holding Myself And Actually, I Am Not Much Of A Hulk Fan If You Know What I Mean ? Smile, Although Friendship Seems Well Within Reach And Much More Fitting I Might Say Unto This Guy Here ˜ Wonderful Analogy Philsophy As Perspective Quite Inspiring Truly A Tree In Wisdom Hope And Ready To Yield Her Abundance In Fruitfulness We Might Imagine ? I wholeheartedly believe to be molded as Our God does daily that we need to stay soft and easily worked between our loving Father's finger tips.. Truthfully, I am not into the synical type too much these days. I have to keep myself from trying to save everyone else and just live. Furthermore, it is not wrong to look through the bad and see the simplicities that are quite beauiful to me. I'm a basic person. I'm not high maintanance, but somehow the dress I bought to wear on a lunch date will not make me as happy when I put it on tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me of the past. Fortunately, I do not live in it as some...

It is a bit of a strike on my feminity to say the least for you to have adressed me in this manner.. These things need to be taken up privately. Some things I have learned along the way, is when you see someone having a rough time.. a gentle hug does much more than anything. Also my demeanor has changed when I got through a very rough time in my life and I am glad I was here to expres myself theraeutically.. too bad I was llike that in conversations online with you huh :(

"Don't look at the storm, what was. Look at what has appeared." The most vital line of this poem. Powerful & fierce.
