All Day Long

Hardest thing you may have to endure
Is finding your life to be a failure;
When you should complete a task
You always sit in sun and bask.

God from above sees you down below;
You can see His impatience start to grow
While you are doing nothing at all
Not having to worry about your downfall.

On top of world you have never been;
Working hard you think is a capital sin;
You prayed to God before going to bed;
He said you should write poetry instead.

Now why didn't I think of that;
Every time I sing my voice seems flat;
When they wanted me to join the choir
They must either be a fool or a liar.

I'll stay home and write poetry all day long
And now won't have to sing a single song
On top, my lovely poems are now listed
So I decided to join Poetry Revisited.

    James, this is an interesting way in passing your day... I like the verse, and thought of reciting poems instead of prayers, in another world :-)... James, hope you are relaxing now.. Disney sounds like fun.... thanks for the morning comments... xox~ Linda
