something something

I'm full of highs and lows
like the sun rise and set
a mind thats grown so old
a body that needs to rest
beneath these blankets i'm sold
upon this bed i rest my head
sweating hands grown cold
and the beating inside this chest
between the dark and light
my eyes have caught a glimpse
of a tragedy in white
with forgiveness and contempt
rain has caught me blind
in the downpour i am drenched
from these eyes the stars will shine
from this mouth the wind is sent
falling to my knees i die
maybe i'm really dead
maybe it's all inside my mind
in the depths of my head
scratching at the surface line
tying to gain it's tread
seeing all the remorseful signs
feeling all the dread
breaking through a light so bright
a light so brightly red
the blood inside my hands is night
and the blood is my death
