The Egyptian rose from his tomb,
Beside him a black Jaguar walked,
Bast the goddess, blessed this union.
For within the creatures womb it lived,
The legacy of the cat people.
Written in bloods paw print,
Smeared with mankind's imprint
The devouring divinity, gives
Birth to a legend.
Sleek a foot, prowling the night,
By sharpened claw and piercing bite.
They exist between light and dark,
Within the shadow realm.
Twilight beings immersed beneath
Illusions darkness, drinking deeply,
From the moons placid pool of
Look into the eyes of the beast,
It's green emerald gaze never
Fades away, from it's marked quarry,
It tastes fears weakness upon instincts
Softly stalking beside the Nile’s life
Hidden beneath the sacred sands,
Lies inscriptions promise to these
No bars cage shall hold thee,
Freedoms song beats within thy heart.
Guardian’s sentential are thou,
Man and beast combined as one,
Brought together by blood.
Loves passion beware, betrothed
Are thou to thine own kind.
Human flesh is weak, mortal hearts
Betray, jealousy destroys the kindred
Death's stalker embrace the night,
Climb our tree of life, know your
Rightful place amongst ancestors grace.
Roar does bast below, the goddess
For the cat people are we,
Breed from her own image,
Proud and strong, standing guard
Beside the ancient tombs of Egypt.
