Well, as they say, "there are plenty of other fish in the sea", or in this case, "there are plenty of other chickens on the farm"!...A very unique and clever, yet sad story you wrote here. Really great work! I enjoyed it!...Thank you so much for the kind and encouraging comments. I really appreciate them, and I know that Isaiah will, too! :)

I take back what I said below about stanza two... it all depends on pronunciation (and/or being able to count to ten properly.) Anyway, delightful poem and thanks for supporting my contest. ~N

Ok, I love this because your making up of words cracked me up. That excused lines one and four of stanza two for their syllabic miscounts. And also line three of stanza three. Thanks for the laugh! Namaste ~ N

awwwww such a sweetly silly verse, you made me smile! So many words to look up! fav new words learned gardyloo LOL [yes as in when folks emptied their chamber pots out the windows, it made me think of Chaucer! I like words that are pictoral and feel as funny in the mouth as they do on the ear. I like gobbledygook! There is a lot of that out there too! My fav words above are namby-pamby, maybe you wanted guano/gnoo? Truce my verbose Lord, truce? Light & Love
