Haiku 9 - iguana on the treetops, mister spider, 6 am and falling rain

perched on the treetops iguana closes its eyes soaking in the sunshine the new doorkeeper of this deserted house - one mister spider 6 am and falling rain bed! how cosy you feel this morning

    Thank you for your comment, Giorgio. "Haiku is a finger pointing at the moon. If the hand is bejewelled, we no longer see that to which it points". This is the guiding principle of the original Japanese Haiku masters like Basho, Issa, etc.and is the standard I use to measure my Haiku which is reflected in the other 28 haiku pieces I have posted which you can view. My personal view is that a lot of what passes for Haiku today is "over-jewelled". http://www.haikuspirit.org/suggestionsEN.html
