My Muse

You are the colour in my day
The sunshine in my life
The smile on my face
You are the words
That bloom across a page.
The inspiration that flows,
With each brush stroke.
Each feature etched,
Across my heart.
You are the song in the wind,
The statue in time
You are here on my page,
Forever,
My Muse.

Cool piece, bud. As I told you, my best friend of 20 years is my Muse; I think it's integral for artists to have at least one ;)

This poem is beautiful, Thomas! Where would any of us poets be without our Muses?
