Excellent poem. Circumstance in play too. How fair are you my lady, to see, in bright youthfulness regaled. Impatient too, in tasting the brew of love's sweet nectar un-assailed. Yet, unfolding strife in everyday life brings betrayal to disappoint. Turns your dream into a shabby thing; A drama in eerie dis-joint. Straight and strong your man has grown; industrious, fast, and free. He stands at the helm to conquer his realm; to triumph in his destiny. Then breaks the dawn, with a muffled moanETC

Becca---!!!!!!---you rule with this poem! Reminds me in a gentle and relaxing way of the song "It's Impossible" though I know your implications are different

Quite, quite true. I believe, through life's trials that can cause us to be lost, that's why we have the sunset...to be reminded which way to go...forward & ready for a new day.

You speak of facts and truths my friend, this is certainly the way it is and there is really nothing we can do about it! Hopefully we all have the strength to carry on through all times of struggle and pain, and hope will spring forth as a prevailing factor! I just love your analogies and metaphors, you have written a truly wondrous poem here this morning, such a grandiose piece, Great work!!
