Glory Of The Day

Walk right outside your door
Walk down to the receding shore,
And everyone shall know today
The star of Malta has come out to play.
Lay your cover down upon warm sand
Watch the people coming hand in hand,
They have come to have some fun
They want to have fun in the sun.
And you shall lie and watch the children play
Your smiling face does glorify this day,
And in great wonder these people shall see
The splendour that always comes to me.
The dark glasses taken from your eyes
Wondrous orbs look at the summer skies,
Your eyes dance with Love's own fire
The hold within them a heart's desire.
They say your face was as Helen's face
Touched with immortality, ethereal grace,
And your glory looks around once more
For many you open Heaven's door.
You shall lie there and watch the children play
Your smiling face does glorify this day,
And in great wonder these people shall see
The splendour that always comes to me.
Your temple does shine like the morning sun
A beacon that beckons people for to come,
And they shall know your glory through this day
There fun and laughter shall not pass away.
And then you catch sight of a handsome man
He stares with longing and he formulates his plan,
This beach you shall not leave alone
The star of Malta shall be caringly walked home.
And the stars shall come out in summer sky
The moon it rises full ever so high,
You lie upon your cover with this handsome man
Knowing he shall give you all the Love he can.
