Cabin Fever

R Rumbling rafters! cabin fever had struck.
O Overnight, I decided I would go
A across state in my trusty Tempo truck
D driving through the night and driving solo.

T Ten miles down the road, I hit an oak tree.
R Rising to the occasion with my phone,
I I called up my brother to come get me.
P Pshaw! it's true, there is no place quite like home.

Only the part about calling my brother...he was always glad to come get me started or change a flat tire or take me to the hospital. No it was mostly fiction. Thanks for the placement; great contest.
