Favourite Summer's day

Storm clouds are gathering
White clouds do run with fear
Verdant blue in sadness waiting
Black and grey arriving soon
But then in one single moment
The sun can win the day
The wind can blow those dark clouds away
We stand together in a hidden glen
Trees they are arising to greet the mother sun
Branches are entwining far above our heads
A canopy of Gold, russet and green
Way above us as we stand together
God's blessed us with a summer's day
As we slowly walk along
Looking upward through our canopy
Searching out the mother sun
Shadows at war before our feet
Dancing in their dreams
The coolness of this place does enter in
You laugh at my foolishness
The funny stories that i tell
We listen to the wondrous trees
Their woodwind serenade
Holding close to me
Your heart beating wild and free
Always run my Angel
Be always running free
The magic of this woodland realm
Can fill our very soul
The Love within becomes a burning fire
The passion and the desire
Higher and higher to overflowing
Come now lie with me
Strongest feelings coming forth
We'll lie below our woodland canopy
This shall be my favourite summer's day.

Hi there, Thanks for the comment. I,ll try and give you something about a storm at some point soon. It will probably be a bit of a let down. I was cheating a little starting the way i did. Anyway, i'm glad you kept going. One storm poem coming up. Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice weekend....Michael.
