It's a hazy, lazy morning
In an Arctic of the cold
And I am soon exploring
My relic of a Soul
I wonder if I'm dying,
At the thought of getting Old
All my life sincerely striving:
To save my Youth--My woe!

Chan This is a write that everyone can relate too. We all worry about getting old ( I'm already there ) lol Its not how old we are, its how we live our lives and treat others. Nice job Thanks for the sweet comment on my Magical Words poem. glad you enjoyed it. Hugs and Love Sweet Pea

It cannot be saved but some believe it can be prolonged. Hence we have a generation of people who have never grown up. They live only for themselves and will one day die alone. Wow all that came out from your brief and effective poem.

Your writing has a maturity to it so my guess is that you have moved beyond the Peter pan stage, you just may not have admitted it yet.

I think I wrote this piece around the age of 25 or so, and not much has changed in the nine years since: I still suffer from the "Peter Pan" syndrome. I have a lot of pieces that reflect my fear of getting old and mourning of youth. Thanks for the read and kind words, Richard! :)
