If I could paint

If I could paint I would paint a kiss between our lips as your arms lift me slightly to dawn in your eyes If I could paint I would paint my emotion on your misty window-pane In hope you'd think of me with each pitter~patterin' of first autumn rain If I could paint I would paint a better muse who is never distant neither apart a muse which stands by me and dwells in my heart If I could paint I would paint a bridge between your river and I I would paint a shadow between my scintilla star and your twilight sky If I could paint I would paint the world as beautiful as you I'd splash my brush in a palette of colours hue's blooms and blossoms of jasmine blue

Charmaine Michael is very right; the picture you've just painted in my mind is very alive with color and life! That was most beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Charma, I can tell you that you can paint. You paint with your words the most vivid pictures. They cover your blank canvas, which is the mind of the reader and these readers can have the vision forever. If you could paint you might not have wanted to write and you might have been lost to your readers here, which would have been a great shame. Forever paint your visions with your words. Have a nice day. Your friend, MIKE. Catch you later.

'Scintilla star'. So neat. And I agree with the others-- you don't have to use oils to paint because you do it with words.

I am not a painter either - although I do like to doodle. My sister used to paint and I have had friends who painted. You "painted" a nice mood with your poem. Peace & love Matthew Anish

Well, you seem to paint pretty good with your pen. In order to do that you would have to be very gifted. Great poem

Oh, and I want to say, this also reminds me of a North Jones song, why does the title escape me? But I am humming it in my head! 'If I were a painter...'

Sorry, my phone has a mind of its own, I meant to say Norah, not North ;)....that would be Kim and Kanye's baby right? North West. Wow. I hope she never gets married to a guy whose last name is 'Airlines'!! Ok, that was corny of me...

You can paint, most definitely with your lovely words dear Charma! I really enjoyed your idea, for what you would paint.. Admit I was on a diff mindset when i read your title, but of course this is you and I think 'romantic' is in your soul and heart, so this is perfectly enchanting. So many lovely lines here, sweet! Thank you again for what you say about my voice, I am so flattered, shucks. You have such a lovely voice and tone, you reading your poem, just hearing you, made my hands all cold, that was from the thrill of hearing you, no joke!
