Autumn's Breath

Colors ignite to set the forest on fire
As they blaze with a beauty that inspires
Autumn has made its presence known
And has dressed the trees in red and golden gowns

Summer's song has come and gone
Now a new song has begun
To its beat the leaves now sway
Then one by one they blow away

When leaves of green transform to gold
It is indeed a beauty to behold
They seem to get more beautiful in death
As they succumb to Autumn's breath
