Death

I have
come to
think of
you as a
friend
now,all
these
years I
cherished
my life and
hated
you
You have
been very
unkind to
me,you
stole
away,you
let me
suffer
every
minute of
everyday.
You have
stuck with
me like a
leech,drawing
out my
life,as I
stare at
the
doctors
coming
and
going,I see
you
laughing
at
me.
Death! you
have given
me only a
year to
live,only a
year to
embrace
life,a year
to write to
my heart's
content,a
year to
love and
cry.

Welcome to the soup. If it's true your writing should be great.

Priyanka, i hope this is only a poem, and not a writing about what's left in your heart... I don't see how death can be a friend to some. I'm very impressed by this write... provoked certain thoughts... (not taking life for granted) enjoyed... LINDA
