The Prime Minister

There once was a Prime Minister
who many believed to be sinister.
His campaigns were clad
in crude attack ads,
and now his cold laws are administered.

Seems rather solemn for a limerick, nevertheless it is true. I don't see why people vote for politicians like that. And yes, it was a wonderful read. When can I expect something new?

P.S. -- I am usually not one of those, "Check-out-my-poem-called: blah-blah-people", but if you ever have the time and inkling to read a bit of a rambling piece, I have a poem titled, "Motherland's Funeral", which partially deals(not only -- there's more than just Harper)with my viewpoint of having spent some time as a Canadian advocate, only to come across the many heads of the Harper Hydra.

Heather, where's the bawdiness!? Now I am shedding tears of nihilism, in danger of short-circuiting my keyboard. Just kidding around. I usually enjoy limericks with bawdy humour, but I dig this one for its political edge. And because I hate(yes, hate)Stephen Hitler. People were afraid of Harper because he's in the back-pocket of Alberta's oil giants .... that's child's play when compared to him being in China's back-pocket. He's turning Canada into: Chinada. "Administered" is such a cool slant-rhyme.
