What a struggle, but you know you pulled through with her. You realised her needs and you took action. This poem is glorious. I can learn that through tribulations, we can get through things better united than by ourselves. One must have a strong mind to be comfortable alone. Again, a very wholesome, beautiful piece. Always, Laura

This poignant and candid poem reveals the struggle you share with so many single parents who are only doing their best, and yet sometimes it is overwhelmingly sad and difficult to see the pain of the child......we are all human, and overlook the signs. But the understanding and empathy you hold is worth gold. What a heartfelt poem......filled with love.

You put yourself into the single mom's character so well, weaving te guilt and sadness in your words flawlessly without needing to actually mention either. Good job and thanks for the lovely comment, I have yet a lot to learn from you! :)

Beautiful and sad at the same time. I know so many single Mom's out there... the guilt, the 'if only' and the financial struggle. I respect and admire each one of them. You have captured this all in a great poem.

This is beautiful, and will do very well in the contest, very well! I thought I had already read a poem by you that was for this contest! If you did, this one is much better...because I don't remember what the other one was about....maybe that means you didn't write one! Nonetheless, this is the official one and I believe it will be the best! Such a fabulous piece my friend! Great Work!!
