The Ladies Man and the Man's Lady

He was proud of all his conquests
And the notches on his belt
The number of bedrooms in which he spent one night
And the satin sheets that he had felt

Now his autumn years are empty
Memories don’t take up too much space
And the only reflections on his mirrored ceiling
Are of an old man’s lonely face

He wasn't much of a ladies man
Knowing the touch of only one
The girl who would say “yes” to him
Give him three daughters and a son

Now his autumn years are happy
Full of enjoyment from his family’s life
He wouldn't trade in for a thousand lovers
His one and only wife

Absolutely fabulous....how true...how true! There are a few things in life that are enduring. If love is true...one must hold on for dear life. You drew me in with your title....and you keep me till the last line! Wonderful job!
