Started Out Life As A Child

Started out life as a child An amazing revelation for sure Became a teenager, make no excuses Those teenage years were a blur Not as wild as one might think More controlled than some of my peers My whole life with all its unknowns Still had a gazillion fears My oh my, how the time flies Seems I'm not going to live forever Look in the mirror each morning and think I once looked a whole lot better Such is life, shouldn't expect any more Don't deserve anything special Try as we might to delay life's journey For our destiny we must settle When the time comes, we take a look back Feel we did the best that we could Tried real hard to be a model citizen All in all it turned out damn good © Jack Ellison 2013

Oh No! You're making Dragon cry again... He hasn't had a chance to visit or drive you crazy yet. No Dragon. He'll still be with us tomorrow. I promise... No Dragon you're not getting old. You're only going on 2... No, you won't get gray hairs... You have scales. How will you know? You're bones will pop and creak... I know mine do... but Jack and I aren't done yet... Trust me we have a few more pops and creaks left in us... Besides we won't leave you alone... How do I know?... Just Trust me.

Jack Ellison You are still handsome! In my life , I had lots of ups and downs. But when I look back those have contributed to what I am now. No regrets. Youth as I penned earlier is full of mistakes . It is a trial and error pace I love your writing Jack
