DEWED BACKDROP

Fragrance of twilight drips like honey on prairie’s mantle, lingering through bushes while stenciled stars etch pastel montage of wind's backdrop, lush upon amber reflecting hued silhouette through wild grass and virgin roses... For a moment... time freezes giving way to mother moon bestowing her splendour, the last night-keeper of mankind and dewed prairies... I find myself one amongst them at the border of creation, when twilight’s fragrance sails across heaven. Trickle Down Free Verse Contest Sponsor: Rick Parise

Hi there :-) Really liked what you did here, and I'm not usually into this kind of "clipped free verse" but somehow, hmmm, probably because of your finesse with language and the arrangement of your stanzas, you managed to slow down the fast fall effect into more of a sweet meander. My eye was willing to drop, instead of feeling ... controlled? .... hope you top the winners list, hon. Life is still topsy turvy here, but I am seeing progress, FINALLY. home stretch to the new home. HUGS, xox Cyndi

You have impressed me yet again with this splendid write my friend! I truly enjoyed reading this awesome and well described poem! I must tell you, if this is for the contest, you might want to change the line, "while clay and stars" as that has 4 words in it and I believe you can have only the maximum of 3 words per line! I'm just trying to help you out...I want you to do well in the contest...Of course this poem as it is would place first in almost any contest! It is fantastic, Great Work!!
