Lord, Lord Bring Healing- Prayer for Poetry Soup

I come before your throne of grace
I seek just a glimpse of your face
Lord, Lord I come to interceded
For the hurting ones to plead

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, show your mighty power
Bring forgiveness in this hour
These, your children, are in need
Hurtful words have made hearts bleed

Lord, Lord, bring healing

We are sinners, EVERYONE
We need cleansing from the SON
Every sin to wash away
Blot the vicious words we say

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, hear my fervent plea
Set us from our vengeance free
Lift our hearts to heaven’s sphere
Show us, Jesus, you are near

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Every tear on every face
Wipe away with heaven’s grace
Clean slates free from all the hate
Please, Lord Jesus, do not wait

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Hear this prayer from my heart
Take us back to a fresh start
Lord Jesus, I believe in You
With love make hearts beat anew

Lord, Lord, bring healing

LORD, LORD, BRING YOUR SWEET HEALING!

AMEN

I very much like this prayer for healing. I also found myself reading a lot of your replies to comments and you have, I believe, wisdom from on high. Responding to everything with verses is so good because the Word of God will always do so much more than the reasoning of man. I see you truly have a heart for the lost souls. May God prosper your endeavours.

I am not offended. Sometimes I almost seem to enjoy acting offended in hopes of possibly, possibly, getting a point across(yes, within mortal reason :P). But I do truly believe it isn't for people to create a hierarchy/template which states that some people are "lost", and others are "found". This is only my personal belief.

Isaiah...thanks for your lovely post. I brought me joy. Love to know of your love for the spiritual side of life. It is what gives hope. Same wishes for you and for all my friends here on the soup.

Also....about your concerns about the veracity of the Word, if you're REALLY interested I could give you material on how the finds in the Quoran caves are like earlier documents...etc etc. There is evidence...on either side, the question always comes back to..what do you WANT to believe? Forget about us...Go back to the teachings of Yashua. He is amazing! :)

Chris, please don't be disappointed or offended. There is no need. Isaiah and I are just "talking shop"! ;) I mean...you wouldn't get upset if two New Agers were discussing something or two Scientologists...or...the list goes on. He made a comment on a spiritual poem in response to a comment I made on his blog. It wasn't meant to offend. Perhaps we should have soup mailed? If it will cause problems, then we will do that next time.

This is exactly the typical response I expect. Whether you realize it or not due to conditioning, it is tinged with arrogance, which then works off my arrogance; my mortal weakness. And so the cycle continues, in action, spinning away from the lessons of Jesus, but always, always, leaning back on the hypocrisy and fallacy of wot is supposedly the word of God. The modern translations of the "Word of God" were manipulated by man's reasoning, so really, where does that put you? One foot on both sides of the fence? The "lost" and "found" angle is arrogant, and one of the major flaws which makes the dogma/doctrine obsolete. And it revolves around the conditioning of man's reason; it is a personal perspective which is subjective. I might find the "found" to be very lost, and vice versa. Our faith differs, is all. I believe Jesus would be quite appalled by the modern adaptations of the religion which bears his name.

Wot it really boils down to for me, is that I believe there to be plagiarism and manipulation between the modern biblical accounts of Jesus, and the historical Jesus(Yeshua ben Yosef). I do believe that if even 1 out of every million people TRULY emulated the messages of Yeshua, this would ripple outwards in an exponential butterfly effect. Yet I don't want to be labelled as a Christian. But I am not an Atheist or Satanist either. I am a bit rough around the edges, piss off a lot of people lol.

I Peter 4: 14- 17 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. :) (Wish we could live up to that NAME!) :)

Last Post..cont..at ONE time or another (stupid typo)...so, we should cut each other some slack. You are rough around is good...it challenges us to be real. Who isn't rough in one aspect or another? :) I so love these conversations...If I ever get off track...and spout out platitudes and act like a total idiot...You call me on it! ;) I'll leave you with a BIBLE verse! ;)

Cont on post below...If you made an emotional, financial investment in someone....if you were willing to give your life for someone....wouldn't you try to save that person at all costs? He is merciful and will use every single opportunity to save those who try to live according to the dictates of their consciences. Yes, Chris...there is SO MUCH HYPOCRACY. Christians dishonor the name they carry SO much but, let's not be too harsh on them...in a sense...we all have ideals that we don't live up to at home time or another!
  1. Date: 7/18/2013 11:01:00 PM
Hullo, Eileen. I just want you to know that I fully realize the different angles of hypocrisy when debating/criticizing religion(its doctrines and dogma), especially since stereotyping can be a slippery slope. Even if we differ on ideology, I can tell from poems/prayers such as this, and general attitude, that you sincerely mean well; that you have a conscience.

Hi Chris.....I know I'm going to mess up in what I write here....always, when the topic is vital, something goes amiss! ;) I know that man is in search of meaning....for things to make sense...where did I come from...where am I going....and all that. I believe...sincerely that God reveals Himself through EVERY means possible to reach man...but I don't believe truth is relative. Truth is absolute...To my mind! It's found in ONE person, Jesus Christ! I believe people will be "saved" who have not made Him their personal savior, but have lived according to the light they have...

Eileen, there are so many situations this prayer can apply to, but none that a little love would not improve. I thank God that He taught me how to love.... and how to receive love.... to give and how to receive.... Jake

I hope so.....it is easy to pray....In James it says...(paraphrase...someone knocks at your door and you say, "God bless you, go in peace," when all that person wants is to be fed. The praying is the easy part...the living isn't so easy...."Jesus came to your door, you've left Him out on the street." (Keith Green)

The question is, Richard....do we have a safe place in each other's hearts? If that were the case...then other things would fall into place. Sad.....

I really identified with this beautifully written plea to our Lord and Savior. There is so much hurt and desperation in the world... P/Soup is a testimony to that through some very pain-etched poems.

Thanks, Kim. I'm glad you stopped by. Sometimes the pain and hurt is just more than we can bear...that is when He assures us: Zephanianh 3: 17..... The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
