I wander by bespangled starlight
A path enlightened within benight
Remote I be a maiden fair,
without a lover for whom I share.
Willows sway with wispy breeze,
full is the moon made of cheese
Fireflies dance with hardly a care,
Aromas of jasmine in the air.
Spring is come and past,
lingers summer within to bask
A whisper soft a distant call
Beckoning tides of autumn's fall.
The river rocks the full solemn moon,
A gentle cascade harmonious attune.
Winter's solstice awaits a turn,
to silence the waters restless churn.
A shooting star lights the sky,
stardust shimmers whisk by.
A trail as long as a path I wander,
Wracked with an errant ponder.
Do wishes come true with the wake,
Bequeathing fate with chances I take.
Somber I walk remote belate,
Through the twilight hours I await.
