The light of the ruins.
In the light in the rains.

And the light of the heavens.
Say's, time to let go of the past.

To bring forth a new dawn.
Capturing your thoughts to break free.

To bring forth a new dawn.
Secret music they heard from above.

That which pierced the heart was but a word.
The clean breast was red- lipped with the sword.

As the fierce sword gave a kiss and did not cease.
They lie in an old city out by the stored shores.

With their eyes at rest gazing towards the light.
Keeping up their defensive wall, with out matter.

Encircled by creeping words that did not care.
Numerous additions and moderation of blurred words.

Words full of contradictions fueled with the past life.
With walls impenetrable as they turned out the light.

I would say--time softens all walls. This is a lot to think about. If you have migraine, in the strict medical sense, there is a cure. However, this pertains only to migraines as defined medically that are preceded by lights in one eye and then pain on the opposite side of the head about a half hour later. If you guzzle a beer at the first light, the headache never happens because the alcohol dilates the constricting blood vessels. Doctors never tell you this because they'd lose business.

what inspired this one, Debbie? It seems almost biblical. But I am interpreting it as putting up walls and then not able to "see the light" as a result. Did I get it right? by the way, I am sorry you have migraines. My sister has those too.

Never go to bed mad for the walls are harder to take down once the plaster has set. May dawn make them see the light. Powerful write! Hugs

As it is said by one of my favorite comedians: "You may not yet be where you want to be. But, be glad you're not where you used to be". Enough said. Fantastic piece!
