No, you did not screw up at all by doing Paul Newman. Frank did not give a particular form to use. If anything, I may have screwed up by going the funny route. Maybe he wanted very emotive poems!!!

Summer... glorious.... packing? .... rhymes with spit. LOL.. finally seeing progress. I want this finished! By the end of this weekend I can breath a bit, by Friday we'll be 'camping out' in our new home, sans the big pieces of furniture. Poor Colin is working at the foundry in 40 degree temperatures (aka 104) I hope this heatwave breaks soon! hugs to you, xox Dee

ART! Just a drop by, LITERALLY. I feel drained in every way possible. SO this po of yours really spoke to me, HUSKED indeed. I feel like I am covered in leeches, bled dry. Tomorrow, I am taking an hour and going to a baby shower. WOMEN! I know I will recharge, all that energy, all that love. I just need to get through 4 more weeks. MISS YOU! Miss reading and writing. Hell, miss thinking! I am not thinking! I'm like a robot. I just needed to whine... lol...oh that felt good. Love ya xoxo DEE

We have a neighbor that grows wine grapes......so I have made my share of grapevine wreaths over the years.....messy, but so satisfying.....love that you have intertwined the emotional tangle along with the beauty of your poem. Love this!!

LOVE the repetitive lines, Deb. More lyrical to me almost than free! It's one of the best I have seen for this contest.
