Gray bleached the color from the day
all that was bright has gone away:
my mood darkens, fills with dismay
sullen and gray, sullen and gray.
Sounds muffled by walls within walls,
the rain falls and no bird songs call:
muted, in drawn, under a pall
a light rain falls, a light rain falls.
Mimicking the rain my eyes tear.
I shut all the lights, disappear.
Beneath the cover it's unclear
what do I fear, what do I fear.
Light brings clarity, all's exposed
perhaps to gray I'm predisposed?
A soft sunlight pinks the red rose
light and dark pose, light and dark pose.
