Heather at first I thought you were describing a man you'd divorced who was watching perhaps the daughter you had raised together. But then I thought, maybe he is marrying another woman. In either case, the message is powerful and I love it.

I've been in similar instances a few times. But, you know, everything for a reason. The reason may not always be immediately apparent, but it'll reveal itself soon enough. Still, I know the hurt behind these lines. Excellent expression here, Heather!

A beautiful poem. I like the alliteration in this it evokes a special type of rythm.

Johnny Maestro with the Brooklyn Bridge described how painful it is to see someone you love marry somebody else. Your work does a good job as well.
