Lotus Bloom

Strange Water Lily
Your delicate petals
like shades of a rainbow
Seeing your wonder
in this moment
eases dark memories
Yet there,
below
in clear water.
your black feather roots
appear,
strangely sinister.

Oh, I find this poem very neat. The contrast in the sentiment, is excellent. Yes, I know the underbelly of the lovely, enchanting Lotus....the strange, almost creepy looking root system under the water, in the ponds.
