I tie the knot and puncture my skin.
Then the floating and fading starts to begin.
Everything turns to fuzz as I sink into this buzz.
Saddness can leave a scar where a good memory once was.
So if you can't escape from the hell your in,
Remember that light doesn't penetrate your darkness within.
So tear the walls down that are sealing you in.
I learned that everyone wears a mask over their skin.
Hiding with envy of what could have been.
I'm realizing that nobody ever will win.
The rain will eventually stop falling forever,
But that is long after we all forever slip
From the inevitably heavy holds of times grip.
Leaving behind a legacy does sound kinda clever
But your memory cannot go on forever.
I find that it's flame can extinguish whenever.
Unless your treasure has sunk with your ship.
Leaving legends behind that keep memories alive.
Without any other way to get immortality
Among mankind's fallacious morality.
We are not even a blip on a radar
In this seemingly finite universes totality.
So when you look at the sky and see.
Take a careful amount of time to observe.
Think hard about the memory's you conserve
And whether a simple lifes story is in reserve.
Is that a legacy you deserve?
So let your secrets fly without caution
Or treat them like a caged crazy,
And never set them free.
Like a turtle and his shell will be.
Your secret is safe with me.
I'll keep on dreaming of legends and lore.
Knowing my surprise for what is in store.
I'll die when my memory fades
Like a great lions echoing roar.
