Dark and Painful

Beaconing, it isn't at the end of thy tunnel
Lifeless, my shame has been said and done

Wither, my guilt is cracking into a funnel
Parts fall into the abyss without the sun

I've never been able to die and succumb
Seductive indulgence is a shameful escape

Breathing, the emissioned air is cold and numb
So anti-social my faithful penalty molds a shape

Claw at a wall and still find a boredom devour
Thinking of what's to come but feed from hunger

Yesterday cut me short, as I stood in the shower
Brain damage from the constant downpour and thunder

Screaming to a face of disease, the fetus has power
Dark and painful this child was born
Under anxiety the soul was torn.
