Mantra in Mantle

They don’t walk to them
To beseech their shows of hands
They as a rule stay
On a raised dais and talk down
At their feet on crusade grounds

An enlightening piece on humble communication. I might switch the word order in l. 3 for flow "As a rule, they stay" but that's being picky. Excellent tanka or free verse as you choose.
