Dog and moon

The high tide
of the sea
washes me up
upon the shores
of your musical heart..

I am awakened
to the sound
of a dog
howling at the moon
because it is round..

My hands are dirty
but now are cleansed
wrapped around your waist
my eyes are open
to follow you like infant stars..

The dog howls
at the moon
because it is far away
she take snaps
of it but cannot swallow...

To the night
my heart opens
heart releasing it's decay
releasing a man
from a city of tombs..

The dog outside
howls again at the moon
because her heart is broken
much like mine..

I take refuge
in her musical agony
she knows like me
there is no one there
to tell her it will be alright...

I wish to reach out
and touch you
ever so softly
until time
considers us embers

in the latitude
of Venus and Mars
until then
i follow you
in dreams

of Halley's comet
passing by my sky
leaving me
in a coma
of ice and dirt...
