No Sympathy

“Sit and think of your sin.
When you can be good
I will let you back in.”
So I sat and thought of
Wondrous things
That matter so much more
than stealing a ring.
Which I did not truly steal.
I just wanted to see
If it was real.
So I was banished to a faraway land;
With no comfort;
No one to hold my hand.
Except the one who does not care,
About the world
Only the people there.
Who tries to comfort every need
Who has the most of
Sympathy.

    This is truly written from the viewpoint of the child in the painting! These lines were so good that I must quote them: "Except the one who does not care, / About the world / Only the people there." With this you have captured the dog's point of view as well. I like the devotion to people regardless of circumstances.
