He’s the wild child of the forest
How he swings from tree to tree
He’s a bad boy, he’s a hero
With a soul so loose and free
He was brought up by the lions
By the forest, by the apes
So often he’s in trouble
He is captured, he escapes.
There is a bounty on him
Some hunters seek him out
Even if they only glimpse him
They will spread such tales about
Cause when he’s in the forest
He always knows just where to go
Though where he ever heads for
There’s none that ever know.
He’s a king who rules the forest
Using heart, and soul, and mind
All the beasts, they understand him
Though he’s of the human kind
When the hunters come to seek him
All the beasts will give him aid
He’s the love of all the forest
And this love will never fade.
He would never hurt a fellow
Not unless they were a threat
To him or her, or someone else
All challenges be met
So the forest folk respect him
And take him for their own
He’s a friend to everybody
Though still he walks alone.
