'Energy is eternal'. That is my belief, too. When we die our indestructible energy goes to something else...a kind of immortality....... I wish people would honor soldiers more. I know I do

Well written introspective piece. When it comes to God there are so many flawed perspectives. I myself do not fear my God, rather he is a source of comfort and reassurance. I am incapable of earning his love he provides it to me freely. This is a gift I gladly accept. I am not a gambler and weather or not I believe in God it will have no bearing on his existence. You have an articulate soul and that is not by accident, you are created in the image of the one you question that is more than ok.

Hi Chris! I SO appreciate your posts on my work and the thoughts you have shared. I have answered them all! Please go back and have a read. :) That would make me very happy! Please, forget the total disregard for punctuation! Having to correct my students when they fail to do so leaves me on the rebellious side, and I take liberties with mine! woman without her man is a savage...(have fun punctuating that one! ;) Let's see how you think....

wow, inspirational, at least, it is said that we were made in God's image, does that mean mentality too.. no wonder the ancient Gods of old, were always at it so to speak,, and of course the human race being like sheep, could only follow. .your poetry is a blast of fresh air, but are we just pissing in to the wind I wonder, when i read, what you have to say.. we may be voices in the wilderness, who knows? but as your poems ends "I finally sleep well at night" says it all, so do i, awesome poem

I can see the beauty in this, though our ideologies are so very different, Chris..Wonderful write. Full of questions for which answers do exist...they do! The place God is "hiding" when tragedies occur is the very place He was "hiding" when His son was dying on the cross to answer our questions! Sure we experience "heaven" and "hell" now, but these are not metaphorical terms. What to say? I'll just say., "Great write, my dear. Truly!" Forgive me. I'm a pastor's kid! Don't hold it against me! ;)

You speak so eloquently for the masses of men and women who faced such hardships and try to return to a normal existence. A very haunting piece of work :)

I'm already impressed if you didn't have to look up cellophane to spell it--not sure if I ever saw it written, never mind as a poetic inspiration---Chris, per usual an extraordinary write but not surprising!!

A maddening piece! This was massive & awesome! You asked some risky questions (IE: "If there is a God" stanza). You weren't afraid to throw the cards out there. Fantastic message here!

I absolutely LOVE THIS ONE!!! I am putting it into my favs, and if it were possible, I would make it number 1 in my favs. Did you ever go to war, Chris? If not, you sure have captured it, homecoming, better than anyone else I've read before. hugs, Catie :)
