The Mirror

The mirror sees through my life
surrounding me and my cat on the chair.
it glitters silver, loud with no strife
but my morning glance I can hardly bare.

At noon I pass it by to make a quick check
and notice a coffee stain on my shirt
Luckily in the light its only a fleck
with the mirror I'm on fine alert.

It reports from all around the room
and shifts wherever I've walked
it reflects my white ivory cocoon
now if only it talked?
