Here we are sitting in the summer heat.
I paid forty-three bucks a piece for each seat.
For box seats, that’s some money in a heap.
If we sat in the bleachers, you would call me cheap.
A nice sultry Sunday afternoon we would choose.
However, we are watching our favorite team lose.
They have lost a lot of games as of late.
Their playing today is considered far from great.
Those bums are committing errors and striking out at the plate.
The pitcher can’t seem to get anybody out.
Will our team win today? I have a great deal of doubt.
Now you want some hot dogs and a Coke?
After I paid for these seats, I am now flat broke.
