My boy, it's obvious you're not athletic,
yet don't think yourself pathetic;
just because your a clod on the court,
diamond, or field, don't count yourself short.
Muscles, brawn, grace, dexterity,
all are short-lived and temporary;
you'll lose them all and quickly
soon after twenty!
Why squander all your energies
on gaining medals, ribbons, trophies?
My boy, there's your mind to care for,
a reward you'll need far more.
Granted, with the right contacts
and money-raking sports contracts,
you (and I) will never have to worry
about money or bankruptcy.
If all of this still causes you envy,
I suggest you get yourself in shape;
but given your level ambition to date,
you'll need at least a century!
And, just to let you know,
my life would now be very different
if your mother had'nt been so intent
and had just said No!
