Say A Prayer

You can move on
You can see the light of day
But you've left me behind
Behind in this endless night

You can be strong
A cherished hero
But you've left me defenseless
Paralyzed by fear

You can go about
Your daily life
Taking the whole world in your stride
Yet you’ve left me in my room
A prisoner in these four walls
Afraid of a world
I can’t understand
Unable to reach out

You can bind up your wounds
Stanch the flow
And continue with the fight for life
The taste of victory in your mouth
Your rebel yell
Sounding a warning
A swashbuckling warrior
And I lie in the trenches
Watching the flow
Of my life
Ebbing away
Waiting to be rescued
Wondering if I will make it
To another day

You and Me
Two different people
From two different worlds
Yet part of the human race
In need of grace
Remember me….
When you turn your face to the sun
And feel the breeze on your face
Remember me...
Alone in my room
Closed in by the gloom
Tears drenching me
Hurts haunting me
Remember me….
And say a prayer…
Say a prayer
For me.

These exchanges do not go unnoticed. They contain information that tells me more about the participants. I stand with all who pray....... "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much" .... Jake

I will pray and celebrate your strength for you are the warrior queen and do not require a meer man to rescue you. The only hand you need to reach for is that of our savior and stare deeply into his loving eyes as he places you upon solid ground.

Thanks, Richard. Bless your heart for saying that. I had a blessed day yesterday at a Women's Retreat sponsored by our church. I was one of the speakers and I had to speak about some of my favorite verses in the Bible.....Habbakuk 3: 17 - 19. Usually who I have to lead out, the message is something that is for ME most of all. Bless you! The Lord is GOOD!

Pray my dear Eileen and God within will raise you up to your feet! As a friend I have this to say:"I am the tear of joy, That to replace comes your Suffering’s tear!" Impressive, harmonious, marvelously written dramatic monologue! God bless you!

You are such a kind soul, Eileen. I know that sometimes that kindness can work against far as feeling things so cutting. I love your work and like I said before, here's a shoulder for you. P.S. Love the rebel yell part...;)

Drake...I guess I will take this nature of mine to the grave with me. I'm glad my family have come to terms with my sensitivity..honestly...sometimes we don't know how close to the edge some people are...and words can sometimes just tip them over! Don't worry, my dear friend. I've passed through a tough patch...I'm on the mend. Hugs!

Many suffer this form of domination and mental incarceration, it is difficult to escape when you have nowhere else to go. Another slice of life from your pen. Take care Richard

HI!!!! Good to see you again. This poem is about me as a hopeless sensitive soul that I am...with people in general. Thanks for stopping by...
