Unbearable Beauty

Her face is beaming with joy and with love
That only a bride shows on her special day
He looked at her with devotion and desire
Full of promise that took my breath away

But I remember another wonderful day
When we first saw your beautiful face
You came screaming in to this world
Demanding attention taking your place

The day you were born changed my life
The love towards a child is like no other
You came into my life in pure delight
Unbearable beauty to this happy mother

You filled me with love, gave me such joy
This bundle of love a new life to begin
Letting go is painful but marvelous too
You are so splendid, you make my heart sing
