Whispers Of The Past

On some misty morning when the ground is wet and still
When clouds obscure the forest and creeks flow the rill
Go sacredly and slowly for you will surely hear
Whispers of the past from the ghosts of yesteryear

They talk of things that happened long before your born
and soon they'll disappear when the mist turns into morn
You'll know when they're near by the rustle of the grounds
Watch in silent wonderment as the ghosts go on their rounds

Judy, this is not so scary that you wouldn't share it with the youngest of children... and would go great around a camp fire... Very well done, my dear. Congrats... Jake

I love the yesteryear. Simply because it cannot be altered and it grows by the day. It is a wonderous place to escape to when today crowds you in. Lovely write. Thank you for reading my stuff. God Bless. Dave.
