Bleeding Love

Vicious jagged thorn
Hidden ‘neath your word roses
My heart’s bleeding love

Ugliness and beauty on the same stem. Passion and pain side by side. You sent a powerful message in just 12 words. Wow! God Bless. Dave.

Certainly thorns go with roses for that we should be careful not to touch them for painful they become! Beautiful poem written with drops of blood that could have easily been avoided if we had learned the lessons of the past!

A rose untouched is a rose unloved! Love hurts...but were we to keep away...we would never experience the beauty of love. "Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all."

Short and to the point. The lyrics to that leona lewis song popped into my head. Good write - JH

Yes...caught me. That last line does use her Bleeding Love concept. I've been listening to that over and over again. Thanks JH. Always good to have a visit from you.

Beware the flower seller or at least the flowery giver. This is a wonderful write Eileen. BTW are you sure your not spending to much time in the photo booth, you must be popping in at last twice a day lol, and I did not know they had reclining chairs in those places either ha ha. Take care, Richard

After poetry...my second hobby is photo taking! :) Capturing a moment forever! How beautiful is that? Reclining chairs are good. They have all sorts of things to help one get comfortable! ;) Richard...EVERY rose has a thorn...that's the way it is! Some are more prickly than others, I guess! ;)
